Partly due to the huge success of the Boone County GIS Internet Mapping Viewers and the nearly three million maps served since February 6, 2004, this Friday, March 3 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm the Boone County IT Department will be upgrading the County's Internet connection to a new provider and from a single T-1 to a dual T-1 connection. As a result, access to www.showmeboone.com and the Internet Mapping Viewers will be down during this time and possibly over the weekend. Once the upgrade is complete, we will have twice the bandwidth to better serve GIS mapping and related data to the Internet.
